Lab Support Manager

Supervision of the scheduling and execution of instrument installations, qualifications, preventative maintenance, calibrations, and basic repairs.
Coordination with outside vendors for equipment repair and calibrations on an as-needed basis.
Effective contribution to laboratory compliance with the company's quality system.
In coordination with facilities team, the management of hazardous waste, glassware, and lab inventory.
The ability and willingness to provide support for buffers and reagent preparation, as appropriate.
Establishment and maintenance of effective working relationships with colleagues and coworkers.
The ability and willingness to provide support to, and integrate seamlessly with, both laboratory and facilities teams.
Performance of other duties and assumption of other responsibilities on an as-needed basis, or as delegated.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Candidate must be at least 21 years old.
AA Degree preferred. High School diploma required.
Manager requires Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years of experience in a comparable role.
Manager requires at least two years of experience managing other employees.
Preference will be given to candidates experienced with troubleshooting and repair of analytical instrumentation.
Preference will be given to candidates experienced with troubleshooting software control of instrumentation.
Ideal candidate in possession of strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to build a strong team.
Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
Positive attitude and willingness to work in a collaborative environment.
Personal integrity, disciplined work ethic, organization skills, and motivation to work with a sense of urgency.
Ability to adapt to rapid changes and utilize newly-emergent technological solutions.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and Google Sheets & Google Docs.
Effective communication skills (both verbal and written command) with excellent computer, typing, and organizational skills.
Previous experience working in a laboratory environment and/or in the cannabis industry..
Ability to work in a fast-paced setting, ability and willingness to multi-task, and the ability to prioritize and manage assignments.
Hours/Schedule: Flexible, as required by needs of business.

Compensation based on experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
