Lead RF Engineer

A minimum 7-10 years relevant experience plus the education listed below
RF and HW design of wireless products
Deep knowledge of protocols like ACN, TCP/IP, USB, BACnet, KNX, and Light Link transmitted via physical layers of Ethernet (IEEE 802.3), WiFi (IEEE 802.11), Bluetooth and Zigbee (IEEE 802.15).
Experience with simulation and modeling (Hyperlynx, Sonnet, etc.) schematic capture (Altium, Mentor Graphics, Eagle, etc.)
Experience with testing tools and equipment: oscilloscopes and network analyzers, etc.
Experience with failure analysis and troubleshooting, able to develop test and simulation applications or scripts
Preferred Experience and Knowledge:
Experience with C/C++, Python, Java, or other development in a real-time environment
Working knowledge of the lighting control protocols DMX/RDM over EIA-485 and DALI
Experience with UL, FCC and other certification
Experience leading and managing projects
Educational Background
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering or equivalent, Master's degree preferred
Job Summary
The Lead RF Engineer is a critical part of the Horizon IoTS center whose primary focus is to develop lighting-centric new-to-market internet-of-things (IoTS) products and solutions. These technologies include new sensors, wireless networks, and user interfaces. The Lead RF Engineer will be responsible for hardware (including antenna) design related to Bluetooth, RFID and other radio systems. This individual is expected to be the subject matter expert in RF design in the group and will lead related projects and interactions with entities inside and outside of Acuity.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Design, integrate and prototype advanced sensors, user interfaces and network communication into lighting systems.
Develop testing procedures and guidelines for the testing and/or troubleshooting of electronic luminaires, qualification documentation for new products, and general laboratory testing procedures
Scouting and interfacing with entities inside and outside of Acuity on RF technologies
Develop intellectual property
Provide technical services to sales and marketing, custom luminaire engineering and custom service as needed.
Assist in on-going cost-cutting, lean manufacturing, and other continuous-improvement engineering initiatives.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
