Accounting Specialist

TSS is a leading Biotech service company with headquarters offices located in Berkeley, CA. TSS specializes in the testing and certification of cleanrooms and biological safety cabinets as well as calibration of laboratory instrumentation. Our customers include biotech companies, hospitals, medical device companies as well as leading research institutions.
The accounting specialist supports accounting operations in invoicing and processing payables. Maintains day to day transaction with customer and vendors, reconciles statements & ensures all transactions are captured for month end closing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounts Receivable:
o Invoicing from TSS field service orders to Sage accounting system.
o Send invoices to customer and copy to Data Entry, and technical report writers as needed.
o Post payments to customer accounts
o Process credit payments.
o Communicate with customer for issue and resolving problem.
o Update Customer files.
Accounts Payable:
o Processing bills with purchase order and proof of receipt enter Sage accounting system.
o Communicate with vendor for issue and resolving problem.
o Assist weekly check run.
o Update Vendor files.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
o 2 years AA degree
o 2
years' experience in accounting
