Operations Manager

Responsibilities: Coordinate financial and budget activities to monitor fund operations, increase efficiency, and maximize investments. Send invoices to clients, schedule payments for all suppliers, track financials and Profits & Losses (P&L), consolidate P&L and financial information from other offices abroad. Lead collections efforts, send statements to clients, collect payments, coordinate with 3rd party collection agencies, and proactively manage cash flow. Closely work with operations and sales to minimize overall fixed costs. Oversee operations of air, ocean, and land shipments on domestic, export or import shipments. Discuss the logistic plan and deliverables for each load with sales representatives for key accounts. Coordinate with trucking and drayage companies to schedule pick up and loading of containers. Coordinate with steam ship lines to make sure containers are loaded on time and as efficiently as possible. File export and import documents with Automated Export System (AES) and ISF (Importer Security Filing). Request information from clients and agents to coordinate with agents in Asia, Europe, Central and South America and Australia. Coordinate with customs brokers, request information from shipper in the U.S. for export shipments, and guarantee loads and shipments are handled in an efficient manner to avoid additional costs. Provide regular updates to clients and complete transit reports on a weekly basis. Invoice clients and coordinate with administration to pay suppliers. Position requires background check and drug testing. Works at Vector Global Logistics office in Berkeley, CA.
Qualifications: Position requires a Bachelors Degree in Administration, Finance, or similar field, plus 3 years of experience as an Administration Manager, Financial Analyst or similar profession. The position also requires 3 years of experience in treasury operations and administration. Experience with financial statements, internal audits, and General Ledger Account Assignment. Experience with Quickbooks, Logiware, JD Edwards, or similar accounting software. Experience with Excel macros, pivot tables, and advanced formulas. Position requires background check and drug testing.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
