We're looking for an editorial intern (entry-level) who's passionate about education and interested in helping spread the word about Magoosh. You'll work directly with Magoosh team members to build relationships with influencers, help them write stories, do a ton of writing on your own, and brainstorm creative ways to tell the world about Magoosh!
This is a paid, entry-level internship, open to applicants who are interested in working full time immediately, or current college seniors who are looking to start full time work after graduation.
About you
Passionate about education and teaching.
Have journalism experience.
Your writing style is animated, engaging, and convincing.
Excellent grammar and editing skills.
High standardized test scores (SAT, GRE, or GMAT).
Extremely organized and deadline-oriented.
An avid consumer of online news and editorials
Always plugged in to what's going on in the world.
Can juggle multiple projects
Work independently and quickly.
Bonus points if you have
Sales experience
PR experience
Twitter expertise
What you will do
Work with the marketing team, product team, and CEO to craft stories about our product, culture, and anything else you can think of!
Collaboratively ghostwrite for members of the Magoosh team.
Figure out which media outlets are right for us and pitch them accordingly
Make decisions about what kind of content we need to create in orderEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
