Ryukoku Univeristy Berkeley Center Office Administrator
Ryukoku Univeristy located in Kyoto Japan, in conjunction with the Institute of Buddhist Studies in Berkeley, California, is seeking a half-time office administrator for its Berkeley office, located inside the Jodo Shinshu Center in Berkeley, California.
The position of Administrator: is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Ryukoku Univeristy Berkeley Center (RUBeC) office; acts as a liaison between Ryukoku University in Kyoto and various vendors and offices in the United States; coordinates schedules and facility and classroom use for visiting Japanese students and scholars; manages the RUBeC office budget; is the public face for Ryukoku University in Berkeley.
Specific requirements include but are not limited to:
Candidate must be bilingual, fluent in both English and Japanese
Excellent communication skills
Familiarity with basic computer software (web-based email, Microsoft Office, FileMaker)
Self motivated and responsible
Ability to effectively track and manage own hours and RUBeC operating budget
Hours for the position are flexible, including some evenings and weekends depending on schedules of visiting students and scholars. Total monthly time not to exceed 80 hours. The Administrator reports directly to the Dean of the Institute of Buddhist Studies.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
