Role DescriptionForm Energy is hiring a Staff Mechanical Design Engineer to develop the next generation cell structure.
This role reports into our Cell Interface Design Lead.
As part of our Cell Interface team, you will ideate, define, and validate the cell structure in collaboration/partnership with a support design engineer, test engineering, manufacturing, supply, reliability and quality teams.

Lead the design of the next generation of the cell vessel structure, particularly in the design of large-format plastic components and assembliesDevelop functional requirements in close collaboration with members of the Cell Engineering and Systems Engineering teamsDefine and drive necessary analysis (e.

, FEA), hands-on testing, and failure analysis of plastic structural components Analyze component and assembly tolerances and develop cost/manufacturing/performance/reliability tradesCollaborate with module design engineers to ensure seamless integration of all componentsGuide manufacturing engineers and technical operations to transition designs from the prototype stage to high-volume productionWhat you'll bring:
Demonstrated experience in plastic component design for structural applicationsExcellent communication, organizational skills, and proven mentorship abilitiesDegree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Bachelor's with 7
