Our Berkeley Matcha Cafe is our first location and beloved by our customers and the community! Position:
Barista Retail Associate General Responsibilities Whisk matcha like a pro! Prepares and serves specialty matcha and coffee beverages.
Carry out the day-to-day of the Matcha Cafe including opening and closing the store.
Walk customers through our mochi pastries and foods.
Curate the best Third Culture environment for guests and team members.
Perfectly handles and serves our beautiful handcrafted pastries and foods.
You will be accountable for:
Greets customers with charm, respect, and kindness.
Take guests on a tour of our food and beverages in the Third Culture way.
Proper handling of pastries and food offerings following all health and safety codes.
Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages up to the Third Culture standard.
Cleans and maintains a clean work stations and area at all times Restocks and maintains a beautiful display of our curated merchandise at all times.
Being self motivated during down time to maintain a clean and welcoming environment at all times.
Takes payments and handles questions with grace.
Communicating effectively to make sure the shop is always at its best! We'd like you to have the following:
Customer service experience required.
Kitchen experience or experience around food is a must.
Clear communication skills and ability to convey ideas well.
Friendly and can-do attitude, ability to adapt quickly is a must.
Ability to lift heavy objects for restocking/inventory purposes (up to 20 pounds).
Comfortable with being on your feet the entire shift.
Schedule & Compensation:
(1) This is a full time position working 32 - 40 hours per week over 4 to 5 shifts.
(2 ) We are open 7 days a week and our work schedule has one daytime shift that is approximately from 8:
30 am - 4:
30 pm.
(3) Apply only if you are regularly available to work on both Sat & Sun.
(4) Compensation starts at $17.
50 per hour with pooled tips (an additional $4 -$5/hr).
