Trip Development Data Quality Analyst

The Trip Development Data Quality Analyst will play a critical role within the TD organization.
This person will be responsible for organizing and facilitating comprehensive reviews of tour costs, analyzing and summarizing data trends, and executing on a wide variety of deliverables that benefit the data accuracy and efficiency of Backroads' business.
REPORTS TO:
Trip Development Data Quality Assistant Manager MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee quarterly audits of future tour costs to ensure TD budget accuracy.
Organize project workflow and reporting, and coordinate with DQ Specialists and Assistants to meet deliverables.
Conduct regular data validation audits to maintain TD workflow efficiency.
Identify and systematically troubleshoot errors in data entry.
Work closely with manager on systems analysis and data projects.
Play a key role in the development of auditing, reporting, and training tools.
Use data to present trends and drive TD decision-making.
Work with key TD and cross-departmental stakeholders to deliver results on team and company goals.
Serve as a company resource by providing trainings and fielding questions about data entry processes and best practices.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES Experience in data management and analysis of large data sets.
Keen analytical mind with a passion for optimizing data processes and ability to process information quickly and efficiently.
Experience with complex systems and ability to understand the intricacies of data structures.
Quick learner who can develop a thorough understanding of the Backroads business and establish credibility as a reliable resource.
Very strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through, with a track record of completing tasks in a timely manner with accuracy and thoroughness.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative both independently and as part of a team.
Self-starter able to work effectively without a lot of support or structure.
Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex ideas in an accessible way.
Project management experience is a plus.
Proficiency with Excel required, or motivation to become proficient quickly.
Experience with other data analysis tools preferred.
Experience with Jira preferred.
Knowledge of SQL and other database languages is a bonus.
