About Us: At BACA, we are committed to delivering ambulatory mental health services to youth and young adults at a higher level of acuity than can be optimally managed in a standard outpatient setting. Therefore we offer Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Programs, including Dual Diagnosis, and a Transitional Outpatient Clinic, with return to primary care when feasible. Our vision, mission, and values drive every aspect of our organization, and we are seeking a dedicated Medical Director to lead and inspire our team of psychiatrists and licensed therapists in Berkeley across these levels of care.
Position duties include, but are not limited to:
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team with Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists, psychologists, LMFTs/LCSWs, associates and trainees to address mental health needs in children, adolescents, and young adults 29 and younger as well as their families.
Provide care to patients in the outpatient clinic, intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs.
Provide psychiatric evaluation and management visits along with individual and family therapy, especially when those therapies are indicated to be best provided by a psychiatrist.
Provide psychiatric oversight of the clinical team and perform evaluation and management visits along with psychotherapy in the IOPs and PHPs. LCSWs/LMFTs generally provide the individual, group, and family therapy in the IOPs and PHPs.
Responsible for ensuring clinical care provided at the site is of the highest quality.
Participate in the recruitment, orientation, and training of new clinicians.
Provide regular clinical mentorship and consultation for psychiatrists and therapists at the site.
Collaborate with site administrative and clinical staff to address patient letters, complaints, grievances, and all aspects impacting patient and clinician experience when they arise.
Position Requirements:
Active medical license in the State of California as an MD or DO and valid NPI and DEA certificate
Board certified/board eligible in psychiatry and/or child and adolescent psychiatry
Must complete credentialing/contracting with insurance companies prior to starting
Experience with delivering care to children, adolescents, and young adults through both in-person and telehealth models, as well as experience with higher levels of care such as Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical record documentation in a timely manner

Compensation &
Benefits:
Compensation is guaranteed at $280,000 at 1.0 FTE for the first 6 months and based on productivity thereafter
FLSA Status is exempt

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
