Responsibilities:
Check all light bulbs, replacing when and where necessary On-going inspection of fire exit signs on all floors; Insure all fire escape doors are in proper working order Inspect guest room ventilation and log any action taken Repair and preventative maintenance of general hotel equipment, i.
e:
washers, dryers, vacuum cleaners, TV and more.
Check for painting touch up and patch up work General repair of incidental damage by guests or employees Establish work order priorities and maintain maintenance equipment On call in emergency situations Clean and maintain the lobby and lounge area as needed Assist in the distribution of soiled linens, sheets, terry and pillow Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, upward reaching cases Distribute clean linen to the floor linen rooms when laundry attendants need assistance Assist housekeepers with supplies, cribs, and rollaway Empty trash and linen from housekeepers' carts Clean and maintain floor linen rooms Clean outside parking areas of trash and debris Vacuum corridors and stairways Empty all trash from linen rooms Clean outside parking areas of trash and debris Empty all trash from linen rooms to dumpster Actively participate in achieving a safe work environment Know/observes safety precautions and fire safety procedures and emergency action plans and use of fire control/alarm systems and extinguishers All other duties as assigned Available to work weekends.
Physical Requirements:
Good communication skills.
Simple grasping of objects of less than 5 lbs.
on a daily basis.
Pushing and pulling of objects from 5 to 50 lbs.
on a daily basis.
Lifting of objects more than 10 lbs.
on a daily basis.
